One of my dearest projected works is my diploma thesis "Kayak Center" under the mentorship of prof. dr. Victor Pajvanski. The location of this project is located in the canyon along the clear river Treska in a nature hollows. Given the proximity of Skopje, this facility would function every day and not only for the anticipated local or European championships in kayak on wild water. By visiting the place several times what inspired me and impresses me were soaring cliffs, fast-moving river with its forms, the terrain ... the whole nature. Although I had more opportunity to place my future building on ground and thus intervene by digging, I decided object to design nested in a natural bowl and to adapt it, with nature and thus building as grown to be one with ground - genius Loci. Building is formed by using different shaped horizontals, treated in natural local wood which are inspired from the fast river waves (in base). These help to create the natural effect of shade on warm days, cool atmosphere inside the building and visual dynamics of light-dark. Positioned at the end of the racecourse, where is the finish line is placed a bridge (inspired by river trout). Besides being connect the two sides, it is designed as an tribune on the finish lane. With this, the object isn’t a natural barrier but instead, through the whole building could walking, resting, watching... Composed of two levels and two main entrances, each is serving the content. On the ground floor, level of a river is located: requisites, kayaks, spa center, restaurant with a coffee bar while in the upper floor, street level are located: lecture rooms and halls for conferences, sport shop, gym. Besides this building + bridge has two additional buildings in which be placed competitors or guests of the sports complex. These bungalows is at three levels, designed overlooking the canyon and shaped from one continuous bandage surface that goes vertically. With this kayaking sports complex I wanted through design intervention do not impose them in nature but be assimilated into it and imperceptibly to contribute to its quality.
